The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a

* Flood Warning for small streams in...
Greenbrier County in southeastern West Virginia...
Monroe County in southeastern West Virginia...

* until 915 am EDT Thursday

* at 310 am EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that one to two inches of rain has already fallen across the
warned area, with rainfall continuing. The runoff from this heavy
rain will cause flooding of small creeks and streams.

Minor flooding is possible along the following streams early this
morning...

Howards Creek near Caldwell...
anthonys creek...
indians creek near red Sulphur Spring.

Rain will gradually taper off early this morning. It may take
several hours for the rain to completely runoff and the streams to
begin to recede. Please do not cross flooded roadways.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

When it is safe to do so, please send your reports of flooding,
including mudslides or flooded roads, to the National Weather Service
