Special Statement
Issued: 9:37 AM EST Dec. 6, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Patchy sleet along with light icing possible along the
ridges...

Light to moderate rainfall will continue to move northeast across
the region into this afternoon. Some of the rain may mix with
sleet at times over the highest elevations. Some spotty light
freezing rain could also occur along the ridgetops resulting in
light glazing on trees and elevated surfaces. Motorists should be
alert if planning travel along the higher elevations into early
this afternoon as a spot or two of ice may also occur on bridges
near the higher peaks. Temperatures should warm enough to help
diminish the threat for any added frozen precipitation by mid
afternoon.
