... High surf advisory in effect from 6 am to 4 PM EDT Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a high surf advisory,
which is in effect from 6 am to 4 PM EDT Tuesday.

* Location: Maryland and the lower Virginia Eastern Shore beaches.

* Surf height: 8 to 9 feet in the surf zone.

* Timing: Tuesday morning through Tuesday afternoon.

* Shoreline impacts: breaking waves will result in beach erosion with only minor
damage possible to dune structures.

area... producing localized beach erosion and dangerous swimming conditions.
