Flash Flood Warning
Issued: 12:11 AM EDT Jul. 31, 2016 – National Weather Service

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 415 am EDT for
southwestern Baltimore... Howard... central Montgomery and north
central Anne Arundel counties and southwestern Baltimore City...

At 1209 am EDT... local law enforcement reported widespread flash
flooding in Howard County... southern Baltimore County... and
Baltimore City. Many streams have crested but flooding is still
ongoing on Jones Falls... gwynns falls... the lower Patapsco River...
the upper Patuxent River... and primarily the little Patuxent River.

Interests along the little Patuxent River from near Columbia to near
Crofton should be away from the river and remain so through the
overnight hours. Significant flooding is occurring and is expected
to continue.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Baltimore... Columbia... Germantown... Rockville... Gaithersburg...
Olney... Pikesville... Elkridge... Damascus... Ellicott City... Towson...
Catonsville... Woodlawn... Randallstown... Montgomery Village...
Eldersburg... Milford mill... Lochearn... North Potomac and Arbutus.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
