central Wayne County in northeastern Pennsylvania...
southern Luzerne County in northeastern Pennsylvania...
Pike County in northeastern Pennsylvania...

* until 845 PM EDT

* at 547 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy
rain and very strong winds moving through northeast Pennsylvania.
Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches in a short time will cause
flooding in urban and poor drainage areas. Strong winds will also
be a serious threat with these storms.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton, Fallsburg, Nanticoke, Monticello,
Lackawaxen, Blooming Grove, West Hazleton, Bethel and Paupack.

southern Wyoming County in northeastern Pennsylvania...

* until 815 PM EDT

* at 512 PM EDT, a cluster of showers and thunderstorms was moving
southeast across northeast Pennsylvania. This rain will move
across much of the Wilkes-Barre and Scranton Metro area through 7
PM with localized rainfall of 1 to 2 inches in a short time. This
rain will cause minor flooding in urban and other poor drainage
areas. Strong and potentially damaging winds can also occur with
stronger storms.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, falls, Muhlenberg, Dunmore, Kingston,
Nanticoke, plains, Carbondale and Old Forge.
