... Lake effect snow warning remains in effect until noon EST
Saturday...

* snow accumulations... 8 to 12 inches with localized amounts
over a foot across the far northwest snowbelt.

* Timing... snow showers will increase in coverage and intensity
this evening... and continue heavy at times through early
Saturday.

* Impacts... hazardous travel due to snow covered roads. Rapid
changes in visibility in snow and blowing slow. Longer commute
times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation reminds motorists
to adjust speeds based on driving conditions and to take it slow
in ice and snow.
