... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST
Tuesday...

* locations... central New York and the northern tier of
Pennsylvania.

* Hazard types... heavy wet snow... sleet... freezing rain... and
strong winds.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches... along
with around a tenth of an inch of ice.

* Timing... rain... sleet and freezing rain will change to wet snow
mixed with sleet at times by late evening into the overnight
hours. A wintry mix of snow... sleet and freezing rain continues
Tuesday morning before diminishing Tuesday afternoon.

* Impacts... snow and ice accumulations will make many roads
treacherous and impassable. Also, snow and ice accumulations
combined with gusty winds could lead to down trees and power
outages.

* Winds... northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Temperatures... in the lower 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means heavy snow and icing is expected or
occurring. Heavy snow with some ice is forecast that will make
travel very dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must
travel... keep an extra flashlight... food... and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency.

63 kt are expected or occurring. Recreational boaters should
remain in port... or take shelter until winds and waves subside.
Commercial vessels should prepare for very strong winds and
