... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM EST
Tuesday...

* locations... the southern Adirondacks region... Lake George
Saratoga region... and southern Vermont.

* Hazard types... snow... sleet... freezing rain.

* Snow and sleet accumulation... 4 to 8 inches.

* Ice accumulation... a coating to a tenth of an inch is possible
across portions of the Lake George region and southern Vermont.

* Timing... a mixture of snow and sleet will spread across the
areas this evening from south to north. Precipitation will
continue for the overnight hours and will be moderate to locally
heavy at times. Precipitation will taper off early Tuesday
afternoon.

* Impacts... snow and slush covered roads and low visibility will
make for hazardous travel. Sidewalks, driveways and parking
lots will be very slippery. The combination of gusty winds and
wet snowfall may lead to some localized power outages as well.

* Winds... .northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Locally
higher gusts to 50 mph possible over southern Vermont.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s to mid 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
