Freezing Rain Advisory
Issued: 3:19 AM EST Jan. 17, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Freezing Rain Advisory remains in effect from 6 am this
morning to 10 PM EST this evening...

* locations... Oneida... Otsego... Delaware and Sullivan counties
in central New York.

* Hazard types... light freezing rain.

* Ice accumulations... a light glaze of less than a tenth of an
inch of ice... except one to two tenths of an inch possible at
highest elevations.

* Timing... light freezing rain and sleet will slowly develop this
morning... mainly after 9 am. Temperatures will gradually rise
above freezing this afternoon into evening... but at least
patches of freezing rain will continue at higher elevations up
to about 10 PM.

* Impacts... ice may create slippery Road conditions.

* Winds... southeast 5 to 10 mph.

* Temperatures... gradually warming from the upper 20s to mid 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Freezing Rain Advisory means that periods of freezing rain or
freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
