... Freezing Rain Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST this
morning...

* locations... Mid Hudson valley... eastern Catskills and
helderbergs... Mohawk and Schoharie valleys... capital
region... and Taconics.

* Hazard types... freezing rain along with some sleet.

* Total ice accumulations... up to one tenth of an inch in mainly
in the valleys... and tenth to quarter of an inch across higher
elevations with some locally higher amounts around one third
of an inch possible.

* Timing... freezing rain and sleet will taper off to light rain
and drizzle for the morning.

* Impacts... ice and slush covered roadways will make for hazardous
travel. Untreated walkways... driveways and sidewalks will be
very slippery.

* Winds... east 5 mph or less.

* Temperatures... in the lower to middle 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Freezing Rain Advisory means that periods of freezing rain or
freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
