... A wintry mixture of snow and rain to impact travel tonight...

Snow, mixing with some rain, continues to advance northeast across
eastern New York and western New England late this evening.
Temperatures were generally into the lower and middle 30s as roads
and sidewalks will be initially wet. As the night progresses, most
of the precipitation will transition to snow with accumulations of
1 to 2 inches expected. Visibilities at times may become reduced
to one mile. Motorists are highly encouraged to travel with care
overnight and Wednesday morning. Leave plenty of room between
neighboring motorists and allow extra time to reach your
destination.
