Cumberland County in southern New Jersey...
southern Salem County in southern New Jersey...

* until 1130 PM EDT

* at 1038 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Hope Creek to near Green Spring to near Cheswold to
near Hartly, moving east at 35 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... expect damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
Vineland, Dover, Millville, Bridgeton, Middletown, Cumberland,
Smyrna, Salem, Buena, Laurel Lake, Alloway, Camden, Clayton,
Weymouth, Quinton, Estell Manor, Cheswold, Greenwich, Shiloh and
Hartly.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

In addition to damaging winds... frequent cloud to ground lightning
is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.
Remember... if you can hear thunder... you are close enough to be
struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 2:55 PM EDT Jul. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Coastal flood advisory in effect from 9 PM this evening to
2 am EDT Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a coastal
flood advisory... which is in effect from 9 PM this evening to
2 am EDT Tuesday.

* Location... coastal areas of New Jersey and Delaware.

* Coastal flooding... minor flooding is anticipated around the
time of this evening's high tide.

* Timing... high tide on the New Jersey and Delaware oceanfront
occurs between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM this evening. High tide on
the back bays... and along Raritan Bay occurs later than the
high tide on the oceanfront.

* Surge... up to a foot above the astronomical tide.

* Waves... wave heights on the ocean waters off the coast are
forecast to be 3 to 4 feet.

* Impacts... localized roadway flooding is expected. Some roads may
be closed due to high water.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal flood advisory means that minor tidal flooding is
expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some Road
closures. Usually... the most vulnerable roadways will flood.

Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The
water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting
yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged... leading to
costly repairs.
