Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 11:10 AM EDT Mar. 26, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 8 PM this
evening to 5 PM EDT Monday...

* hazard types... snow, sleet, and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches... along
with around a tenth of an inch of ice.

* Timing... precipitation will begin as a period of snow late
this evening and will change to sleet and freezing rain
overnight tonight and into the day on Monday. Temperatures are
expected to warm during the day on Monday, changing
precipitation to rain for most areas. However, wintry
precipitation could continue into Monday night in the western
Maine mountains.

* Impacts... snow, sleet, and freezing rain will cause difficult
travel conditions. Freezing rain will make driving
particularly dangerous due to slick roadways. Ice accumulation
on trees will weigh down limbs and could snap small branches.

* Winds... southeast 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
