... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 1 am to 1 PM EST
Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for sleet and freezing rain... which is in effect
from 1 am to 1 PM EST Tuesday.

* Locations... coastal Hancock and coastal Washington counties.

* Hazard types... sleet and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... sleet accumulation between one half and 1 inch.

* Ice accumulations... around a trace.

* Timing... after midnight tonight through Tuesday morning.

* Impacts... expect travel difficulties. Sleet and a glaze of ice
will produce slippery conditions. Ice may cause a few tree limbs
to snap with scattered power outages possible.

* Winds... east 20 to 30 mph with gusts between 45 and 50 mph.

* Temperatures... around 30 tonight rising above freezing Tuesday
afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

Advisory... which is in effect from 4 am to 7 PM EST Tuesday.

* Winds... northeast 20 to 30 mph with gusts between 45 and 50 mph.

* Timing... early Tuesday morning into Tuesday evening.

* Impacts... gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
