... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Friday morning through
Saturday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Storm
Watch... which is in effect from Friday morning through Saturday
afternoon.

* Hazard types... heavy snow possible.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 6 or more inches possible.

* Timing... the snow will begin Friday morning across southwestern
NH then move northeastward, covering the rest of the watch area
by mid afternoon. The snow will increase in intensity Friday
evening and overnight before ending around midday Saturday.

* Impacts... slippery roads and low visibilities. The snow may be
heavy and wet, especially across southern New Hampshire where
the potential for power outages will exist.

* Winds... east 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Temperatures... in the lower 30s.

* Visibilities... a half mile or less possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
