Special Statement
Issued: 3:29 PM EDT May. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Heavy rain and localized flooding possible in southeast New
England tonight...

Rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected tonight into Tuesday
morning on Cape Cod and the islands, most of which should fall
between 2 am and 8 am Tuesday.

This would cause minor flooding of roads that typically flood in
heavy rain, and could impact the Tuesday morning commute.

Keep in mind there is uncertainty as to where the heavier rain
will fall. While we are more confident it will affect Cape Cod and
the islands, it is possible it ends up farther north from Newport
to Fall River and New Bedford, or it could end up farther south
and stay offshore.

Stay tuned to your local TV and radio stations, NOAA Weather
Radio, or weather.Gov for the latest information.
