Special Statement
Issued: 7:31 PM EST Dec. 7, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Patchy fog and black ice expected tonight particularly in
western and northern Massachusetts...

Light winds and some breaks in the cloud cover will allow
temperatures to fall below freezing in most locations tonight.
This coupled with residual moisture will allow patchy fog and
patchy black ice to develop this evening and into the overnight
hours. This is particularly true across portions of western and
northern Massachusetts... where temperatures have already dropped
below freezing. Motorists planning travel should be prepared for
slippery spots and drive with extra caution tonight.
