... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST
Wednesday...

* locations... include the east slopes of the Berkshires including
the cities and towns of Charlemont... Chesterfield and Blandford.

* Hazard types... include snow... sleet... and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches with up to 6
inches across the higher elevations of Franklin County along
with around a trace of ice. However significant icing up to a
quarter of an inch is possible across the higher elevations of
western Hampshire and Hamden counties.

* Timing... this evening into early Wednesday.

* Impacts... snowfall rates of up to an inch per hour is possible
this evening. Wintry precipitation will likely result in
hazardous travel conditions on untreated roads... especially
bridges... and overpasses. Parking lots and sidewalks will
become slippery as well.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
