evening for the South Washington coast and the north and central
Oregon coast...

* seas... seas 17 to 21 feet. Dominant period around 17 seconds.

* Impacts... waves may rise unexpectedly. Beachgoers are
encouraged to stay off jetties... rocks... coastal cliffs... and
out of areas near the water's edge.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area... and seas may unexpectedly sweep beachgoers
off their feet.

effect until midnight PST tonight...
... Gale Warning remains in effect from midnight tonight to 10 PM
PST Sunday...

* winds... south 15 to 20 kt with gusts to 25 kt. Wind becomes
southeast and increases to 25 to 30 kt with gusts to 40 kt late
Saturday night through Sunday.

* Seas... 17 to 21 feet with dominant period around 15 seconds

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
