... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect from 3 am to 6 PM PST
Sunday for the western and central Columbia River gorge...

The Winter Weather Advisory for snow is now in effect from 3 am
to 6 PM PST Sunday.

* Timing... temperatures have warmed enough today so that the
threat of any significant snow in the Columbia River gorge is
greatly reduced. The next chance of snow will be late tonight
and Sunday morning... with the snow decreasing to showers Sunday
afternoon.

* Snow level... around 1000 to 1500 feet today lowering to near the
valley floor late tonight and Sunday.

* Snow accumulations... 1 to 3 inches late tonight and Sunday.

* Impacts... expect some travel difficulties... mainly late
tonight through Sunday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet...
or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
