* surf... along east facing shores of Kauai Oahu Molokai Maui and
The Big Island... 8 to 12 feet tonight... and 6 to 9 feet on
Monday.

* Timing... through 6 PM HST Monday evening.

* Impacts... moderate... expect strong breaking waves... shore
break... and strong currents making swimming dangerous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise
caution. Be prepared for water splashing onto coastal roads along
the east facing shores.

... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM HST this evening...

* winds... northeast trades 25 to 35 mph with localized gusts to
50 mph.

The strongest winds are expected over and downwind of the
mountains... as well as in areas where the winds are best
channeled by the terrain. This does not include the cities of
Hilo and Kailua Kona on The Big Island.

* Timing... through 10 PM this evening.

* Impacts... strong winds will make driving hazardous...
especially in high profile vehicles. Small or weakened tree
branches may be knocked down... and unsecured items may be
blown around by the strong winds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Residents should bring in or tie down any loose outdoor items.

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 30 mph...
or gusts of at least 50 mph... are expected. Motorists should use
extra caution.
