Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 3:37 AM CST Jan. 19, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory now in effect until noon CST today...

* visibility... much of the advisory area will see at least a few
hours of dense fog reducing visibility to 1/4 mile or less...
with widespread visibilities of 3/4 mile or less lasting
several hours.

* Impacts... expect rapidly deteriorating visibilities for the
morning commute. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and allow
extra time to reach destinations.

* Uncertainty... it is possible that at least localized dense fog
could creep east of the current advisory area. In addition...
it is also possible that at least localized dense fog could
linger into the early afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
