* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
northern Calhoun County in north central West Virginia...
southeastern Ritchie County in northwestern West Virginia...

* until 700 PM EDT

* at 616 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles southwest of West Union to 7 miles northwest
of Grantsville, moving southeast at 45 mph.

Hazard... 70 mph wind gusts and ping pong Ball size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... people and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
           Mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
Weston, Glenville, Sutton, Grantsville, Jackson Mill, Stonewall
Jackson, Cedar Creek State Park, Burnsville, Lost Creek, Jane Lew,
Flatwoods, Sand Fork, Auburn, Newberne, Alum Bridge, Big Springs,
Berea, Stumptown, Tanner and Annamoriah.

This includes Interstate 79 between mile markers 63 and 65, and
between mile markers 68 and 111.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southeast Ohio and West Virginia, including the
following areas, in southeast Ohio, Athens, Gallia, Jackson
OH, Meigs, Morgan, Perry, Vinton, and Washington. In West
Virginia, Barbour, Braxton, Calhoun, Clay, Doddridge, Gilmer,
Harrison, Jackson WV, Kanawha, Lewis, Mason, northwest
Fayette, northwest Nicholas, northwest Pocahontas, northwest
Randolph, northwest Webster, Pleasants, Putnam, Ritchie,
Roane, southeast Fayette, southeast Nicholas, southeast
Pocahontas, southeast Randolph, southeast Webster, Taylor,
Tyler, Upshur, Wirt, and wood.

* Through Sunday morning

* rounds of showers and thunderstorms, with heavy downpours are
expected through Sunday morning. This coupled with wet soils
across the area could produce flash flooding, especially along
small streams, creeks, low spots and poor drainage areas.
