The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
western Adams County in west central Illinois...
eastern Marion County in northeastern Missouri...

* until 600 am CDT Saturday

* at 1005 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have
already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Quincy... Hannibal... Mendon... La Grange... Fall Creek... Burton...
Ursa... Loraine... Lima... Marblehead and Fowler.

This includes Interstate 172 between exits 2 and 19.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
