The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Fountain County in west central Indiana...
southwestern Tippecanoe County in west central Indiana...
Warren County in west central Indiana...
northern Montgomery County in west central Indiana...

* until 1115 PM EDT

* at 821 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will cause flooding. Up to two inches of rain have
already fallen in some areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Crawfordsville, Covington, Veedersburg, Williamsport, Attica,
Shadeland, Waynetown, Darlington, Linden, West Lebanon, Hillsboro,
New Richmond, Wingate, Newtown, Mellott, state line city, Pence,
Foster, tab and Rainsville.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Lafayette.
* Until Wednesday afternoon.
* At 11:16 am Friday the stage was 12.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 12.6 feet by
tomorrow evening. The river will fall below flood stage early
Wednesday morning.
* At 12.0 feet... high water affects a few low river Cabins and County
roads.
