... The Flash Flood Warning for east central Pima County will expire
at 500 PM MST...

Only light to moderate rain remains over portions of west and
southwest Tucson including the Tucson Estates and San Xavier mission
area. Flash flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat, however
some street flooding and heavy flow in washes will continue into the
evening hours. Please continue to heed any remaining Road closures.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
east central Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* until 615 PM MST

* at 421 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain in the Sahuarita area. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Green Valley, Sahuarita, east Sahuarita and Three Points.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
northeastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* until 600 PM MST

* at 354 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the northwest side of the Tucson Metro including
the Marana, Picture Rocks, Tucson Mountains and Saguaro National
Park west areas. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Tucson, Marana, Avra Valley, flowing Wells, Tucson Estates,
tortolita, Casas Adobes, Saguaro National Park west, Picture Rocks
and Dove Mountain.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a

* small stream flood advisory for...
northeastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* until 645 PM MST

* at 444 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms near the northern Rincon and eastern Catalina
mountains northeast of Tucson. This will cause small stream
flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Tanque Verde, Redington and portions of the burro burn scar.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Deer Creek...
Chimney Rock creek... Agua Caliente wash... Redfield Canyon... gibb
wash... Stratton wash... Bear Creek... Buehman Canyon... Sabino
creek... Alder wash and Tanque Verde wash.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of washes
and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.

Move away from recently burned areas. Life threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry washes is likely. The heavy rains will
likely trigger Rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until midnight MST
tonight...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of Southeast Arizona, including the following areas,
Baboquivari Mountains, Catalina and Rincon Mountains,
Chiricahua Mountains, Dragoon and mule and huachuca and Santa
Rita Mountains, eastern Cochise County below 5000 feet,
galiuro and Pinaleno Mountains, south central Pinal County,
southeast Pinal County, tohono o'odham nation, Tucson Metro
area, upper Gila River valley, upper San Pedro River Valley,
upper Santa Cruz River Valley/Altar Valley, and White
Mountains of Graham and Greenlee counties.

* Until midnight MST tonight

* scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will continue in
in a very moist and unstable atmosphere through this evening.
The strongest storms will be capable of producing between one
and two inches of rain in less than one hour which could lead to
flash flooding.

* Areas along washes, small streams and drainages plus wildfire
burn scar areas will be susceptible to flooding. Low water
crossings and poorly drained roads may become impassable.
Rural and dirt roads will likely become washed out at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions are becoming favorable
for flash flooding to develop. Monitor forecasts closely and be
ready to take quick action if flash flood warnings are issued. If
flash flooding is observed... act quickly. Turn around and take
another Route.
