Issued: 5:22 AM MDT Apr. 28, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from late tonight through
Saturday afternoon...

* location... Pueblo County including the city of Pueblo.

* Cause and timing... a strengthening storm system will move
across southern Colorado and New Mexico tonight through
Saturday night, spreading rounds of moderate to heavy snow and
gusty winds into the area.

* Snow accumulation... 3 to 6 inches for northern and eastern
portions of the County including the city of Pueblo, with in
excess of 6 inches possible south of Highway 50. Snowfall
amounts are subject to change depending on storm track.

* Wind... northeast to east winds 15 to 25 mph tonight becoming
north 20 to 35 mph on Saturday.

* Impact... snow and blowing snow is expected to create hazardous
travel conditions at times, especially south of Highway 50. In
addition, heavy wet snow will be capable of producing tree and
powerline damage.
