Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 3:53 AM CST Dec. 5, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am CST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a dense fog
advisory, which is in effect until 9 am CST this morning.

* Visibility... visibilities will be under one quarter of a mile in
the advisory area, although fluctuations may occur from time to
time. As winds increase after sunrise, the dense fog is expected
to lift.

* Impacts... driving will be hazardous due to the reduced
visibilities early this morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
