High Surf Advisory
Issued: 4:19 AM PST Feb. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... High surf advisory remains in effect until 8 am PST this
morning...

* surf... surf of 4 to 7 feet will continue across Los Angeles and
Ventura County beaches through the early morning hours. The
largest surf will likely occur on west facing beaches such as
Ventura and el porto. Surf will subside by mid morning.

* Impacts... large waves and strong rip currents will increase
the risk of ocean drowning for swimmers and surfers. Large
breaking waves can cause injury... wash people off beaches and
rocks... and capsize small boats nearshore.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area... producing localized beach erosion and
dangerous swimming conditions.
