... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 1130 PM PST Tuesday for
central Santa Clara County...

At 1235 PM PST, local law enforcement officials reported flooding on
the Coyote creek canal from a levee breach that is releasing water
across Highway 101. All lanes in both directions have been closed
due to flooding. Flows will likely be reduced later today as the
flood wave on Coyote creek moves through the system below Anderson
Reservoir.

Reporting gauges on Coyote creek continue to indicate active record
flooding. This areal Flood Warning supplements the active Flood
Warning at the Coyote creek forecast location at Edenvale. Flooding
is expected to continue for the rest of the day and throughout the
night.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
San Jose and Morgan Hill.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
