... High Wind Warning remains in effect until 9 PM CST /8 PM MST/
this evening...

* timing... from 5 am CST /4 am MST/ to PM CST /8 PM MST/ Tuesday.

* Winds... southwest 30 to 50 mph with gusts to around 60 to 65 mph
in the afternoon. Early Tuesday evening west 30 to 40 mph with
gusts to around 55 to 60 mph.

* Impacts... these winds could make driving difficult for
motorists driving high profile vehicles such as campers, vans
and tractor trailers.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.

this morning to 7 PM CST /6 PM MST/ this evening for relative

* wind... 20 to 40 mph in lower elevations. 30 to 45 mph in the
mountains.

* Humidity... 7 to 15 percent.

* Fire danger... extreme.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

This is a dangerous fire weather situation. Strong winds and very
low relative humidities combined with todays above normal
temperatures resulting in weather conditions favorable for fires
that may be difficult to control. In the past, weather patterns
like this have resulted in the multiple occurrence of large
fires.
