... Coastal Flood Advisory now in effect until 5 am EST Tuesday...

* coastal flooding... elevated saltwater levels will persist
through tonight.

* Timing... saltwater levels will remain above normal... with levels
dropping early Tuesday morning.

* Impacts... minor tidal flooding of low elevation streets and
lots are likely. Some storm drains will overflow... and some
docks and seawalls will be overtopped.

Issued: 10:31 PM EST Jan. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Small Craft Advisory now in effect until 5 am EST Tuesday...

* winds... west to northwest winds at 25 to 30 knots will slacken
to near 20 knots overnight.

* Waves/seas... seas will be as high as 14 feet in portions of
the Gulf Stream and the outer waters of Mainland Monroe.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots...
or seas of 7 feet or greater... are expected to produce hazardous
conditions for small craft. Inexperienced boaters... especially
those with smaller vessels... should avoid operating in these
conditions.
