Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:13 PM MST Jan. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight CST /11 PM
MST/ tonight to 8 am CST /7 am MST/ Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory... which is in effect from midnight CST /11 PM
MST/ tonight to 8 am CST /7 am MST/ Wednesday.

* A mix of light freezing rain... sleet and snow will develop late
tonight into Tuesday morning. Precipitation should be in the
form of all snow by Tuesday afternoon.

* Snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches with the heaviest amounts
generally north of Interstate 80.

* Northwest winds gusting up to 35 mph developing late Tuesday
morning and continuing through Tuesday night will create areas
of blowing and drifting snow.

* Hazardous driving conditions can be expected due to reduced
visiblity from falling and blowing snow. Slippery and snow
packed roads will be possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
