Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 8:27 PM CST Jan. 19, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 11 am EST /10 am CST/
Friday...

The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a dense fog
advisory, which is in effect until 11 am EST /10 am CST/ Friday.

Hazardous weather:

* widespread dense fog reducing visibility to one-quarter mile or
less will continue through late Friday morning before the fog
starts to lift and visibilities improve.

* Temperatures will be below freezing which will allow the fog
   to freeze on untreated surfaces.

Impacts:

* travel will be hazardous due to very low visibility at times.

* Fog may freeze on untreated surfaces which may lead to slippery
   travel.

* When encountering dense fog... remember to use low-beam
   headlights.

Precautionary/preparedness actions:

* a dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile.

* Prepare, plan, and stay informed. Visit www.Weather.Gov/MQT
