Issued: 3:05 PM PDT May. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory in effect from 9 PM this evening to 3 am PDT
Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect from 9 PM this evening to 3 am PDT
Wednesday.

* Winds... west 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 45 mph or more.

* Timing... west winds will develop late this afternoon and sharply
increase during the mid to late evening hours. Winds will likely
peak between 9 PM and 3 am.

* Impacts... loose objects like lawn furniture and trash cans
should be secured before the winds arrive this evening.
Motorists with plans to travel on I-90 tonight should be
prepared for strong west winds between Moses Lake, Vantage, and
Ellensburg. Parts of Highway 2 over the Waterville Plateau will
also be quite windy tonight.

* Locations... Quincy, Wenatchee, Chelan, Entiat, Cashmere,
Waterville, and Mansfield.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph with gusts
over 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.
