The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a red flag
warning, which is in effect from 2 PM to 11 PM PDT Sunday. A Fire
Weather Watch remains in effect for Monday morning through Monday
evening.

* Impacts: lightning and high fire danger will likely result in

be overwhelmed and holdover fires are possible.

* Affected area (warning): in south central or... a small portion
of fire weather zone 625 near Silver Lake. All of fire weather
zone 625 is included in the watch.

* Counties affected (warning): in south central or... Western
Lake. The watch area includes almost all of Lake County and
portions of western Harney.

* Thunderstorms: scattered thunderstorms with lightning
activity level of 3. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is
expected with these storms.

* One less spark, one less wildfire.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. Scattered thunderstorms
combined with dry fuels create conditions where many fire starts
may occur in a short period of time.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
red flag warnings.
