... Heat advisory in effect from noon to 9 PM PDT Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Portland has upgraded the
excessive heat watch for Saturday to a heat advisory, which is in
effect from noon to 9 PM PDT Saturday.

* Impacts... moderate to high risk of heat illness for those who
are sensitive to heat and those without effective cooling and
adequate hydration.

* High temperatures saturday: ranging from the low 90s in the
higher Coast Range to the upper 90s in the valleys.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned
room, stay out of the sunshine, and check up on relatives and
neighbors. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke. Heat stroke is an emergency, call 9 1 1.
