... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 10 am to 7 PM PST
Thursday...

The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect from 10 am to 7
PM PST Thursday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.

* Locations... Arlington... The Dalles... White Salmon.

* Snow level... valley floor.

* Snow accumulations... 5 to 9 inches.

* Timing... snow will develop Thursday morning then increase in
intensity Thursday afternoon. There is a slight chance of sleet
and freezing rain late Thursday.

* Impacts... area roadways will be snow covered and slick.
Driving on Interstate 84 and Highway 14 will be hazardous with
poor visibility and periods of moderate to heavy snow.

* Winds... east 5 to 15 mph.

* Hazard elevation... all elevations.
