Molokai and Maui from noon Tuesday to noon HST Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a high surf
advisory... which is in effect from noon Tuesday to noon HST
Wednesday.

* Surf... along east facing shores of Kauai Oahu Molokai and Maui... 6
to 9 feet. Along north facing shores of Kauai Oahu Molokai and
Maui... rising to 10 to 15 feet by Tuesday afternoon and to 15 to
20 feet by Tuesday night.

* Timing... along east facing shores of Kauai Oahu Molokai and Maui
through 600 am Tuesday morning and from noon Tuesday through
noon Wednesday for north facing shores of Kauai Oahu Molokai and
Maui.

* Impacts... moderate... expect strong breaking waves... shore
break... and strong currents making swimming dangerous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise
caution. Be prepared for water splashing onto coastal roads along
the east facing shores.

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 25 to 33 knots
and/or seas 10 feet or greater are expected to produce conditions
hazardous to small craft. Inexperienced mariners... especially
those operating smaller vessels... should avoid navigating in
these conditions.
