... Hazardous seas warning remains in effect until 4 am Tuesday...

* winds... NE to E 10 to 20 kt. Gusts to 30 kt well offshore N of
Cape Mendocino this evening. Winds will subside overnight.

* Waves... W swell 18 to 20 feet with wave periods of around 15
seconds. Swell subsiding Tuesday. Another W swell train
building Wednesday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A hazardous seas warning means hazardous sea conditions are
imminent or occurring. Recreational boaters should remain in
port... or take shelter until waves subside. Commercial vessels
should prepare for rough seas and consider remaining in port or
