The National Weather Service in the San Francisco Bay area has issued
a

* Flood Warning for...
central Sonoma County in northern California...

* until 730 am PST Tuesday

* at 723 am PST, the automated real-time stream gage on mark West
Creek near Mirabel Heights continues to show active flooding in
lower mark West Creek near the confluence with the Russian River.
Flooding is expected to continue through today and possibly extend
Further. Water levels are expected to recede slowly as the Laguna
de Santa Rosa slowly drains from recent rains and the Russian
River falls sufficiently.

* At this point in time, moderate flooding is occurring, meaning
that low spots on Trenton-Healdsburg Road are flooding on the
north side of the creek and wohler Road is likely flooded.
Other portions of the lower floodplain are likely flooded.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

* swell... west swell 14 to 16 feet. Swell periods 14 seconds.

* Surf... breaker heights locally 20 to 25 ft.

* Timing... continuing through early Tuesday morning.

* Impacts... large breaking waves... strong rip currents... and
sneaker waves.

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area... producing rip currents and localized beach
erosion.
