* winds... northeast winds 20 to 45 mph with gusts to 65 mph.

* Timing... through this afternoon.

* Location... coastal slopes of the San Bernardino Mountains...
through and below the Cajon Pass into the inland Empire... the
Santa Ana Mountains and foothills... and the Orange County
coastal plain.

* Impacts... hazardous driving conditions... especially in strong
Crosswinds on I-5... I-10... and highways 90... 61... and 210.
Downed trees and power lines... in addition to structural
damage... is possible.

* Outlook... weaker offshore winds Saturday night and Sunday.
