Watches & Warnings

Fire Weather Warning
Issued: 1:12 PM PDT Jun. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 1 am PDT Wednesday
for strong gusty winds and low humidities...

* wind... west 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph. Isolated gusts 45
to 50 mph.

* Humidity... lowest daytime around 5 percent with slight
recovery late tonight to 10 to 15 percent.

* Outlook... winds will slowly decrease for Wednesday into Thursday
with a slight recovery in humidities Thursday. Another period of
near critical fire weather conditions is expected for late
Wednesday afternoon through late Wednesday evening... but with
less area and duration of these winds.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... .or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
