... Local moderate to heavy snow in Reno and southeast of Pyramid
Lake...

Local areas of moderate to heavy snow in the north valleys of Reno
are slowly working south towards I-80 and downtown Reno. Areas of
heavier snow will be capable of covering roads and causing slick
conditions this morning. By midday and for the afternoon, any snow
should mainly stick to non-paved surfaces as roads warm up.

To the southeast of Pyramid Lake, a band of lake enhanced snow
showers continues between Nixon and Fallon. Areas that see a burst
of heavier snow this morning could see brief slick and slushy
conditions on area roads.
