... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 4 am PST Sunday above
6500 feet...

The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a Winter Weather
Advisory above 6500 feet for snow which is in effect until 4 am
PST Sunday.

* Snow accumulations... 3 to 6 inches in elevations from 6000 feet
to 7000 feet. 6 to 12 inches above 7000 feet.

* Elevation: above 6500 feet.

* Timing... snow intensity and coverage will increase Saturday. The
heaviest snow is expected to occur Saturday afternoon before
diminishing late Saturday night

* winds... 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

* Impacts... due to the strong elevation dependence of this storm,
motorists should be alert to rapidly changing Road conditions
if traveling across higher terrain or mountain passes.
