* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
northeastern Sandoval County in north central New Mexico...

* until 615 PM MDT

* at 407 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Radar indicates up to two inches
of rain have already fallen.

* Flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Sandoval County.

This will impact the Thompson Ridge burn scar including but not
limited to Sulphur Creek Road... Sulphur Springs...
Freelove Canyon... Mormon Canyon... Deer Canyon... Valles Caldera
preserve Headquarters... Redondo creek... and Redondo Peak area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Runoff from rainfall will cause elevated water levels within
vulnerable drainages in and downstream of the
Thompson Ridge fire burn area.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.

inches of rain have already fallen.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 180 and 200.

heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Just south of Jemez Pueblo up to
one inch of rain has already fallen.

* Locations impacted include...
San Ysidro... Zia Pueblo... Jemez Pueblo and Ponderosa.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.

The heavy rainfall and slow movement of these storms may result in
flooding of Road intersections and low-lying
areas. Waters may begin to run in normally dry arroyos.
