Watches & Warnings

Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 4:19 AM MDT Aug. 27, 2016 – National Weather Service

... The Flood Advisory remains in effect until 515 am MST for
southwestern Mohave County...

At 415 am MST... Doppler radar indicated another round of
thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain moving across the Oatman-
Topock Highway. Up to a half-inch of additional rainfall can be
expected. This will cause minor flooding of the Oatman-Topock
Highway and secondary roads between Topock and Oatman.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate Route.
