Wind Advisory
Issued: 1:13 PM MDT Apr. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory in effect from noon to 8 PM MST Friday...

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from noon to 8 PM MST Friday.

* Impacts... winds this strong can make driving difficult...
especially for high profile vehicles. In addition... loose and
unsecured outdoor objects may be blown around. Localized
blowing dust will be possible, especially near loose dry
soils. Blowing dust may briefly reduce visibilities below a
mile.

* Timing... winds will increase by late morning, with the strongest
winds during the afternoon hours.

* Winds... southwest to west winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts to
near 50 mph in the afternoon.

* For a detailed view of the hazard area... visit

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or greater
are expected in the valleys... or 35 mph or greater above
5000 feet. Higher gusts are also likely. This could make driving
difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.
