Issued: 1:27 PM MST Jan. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from noon Monday to 5 am MST
Tuesday above 6000 feet...

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from noon Monday
to 5 am MST Tuesday.

* Impacts... moderate to heavy snow will cause periods of low
visibility and snow covered roads resulting in hazardous driving
conditions above 6000 feet.

* Timing... showers will move in from the west by late Monday
morning... increasing into the overnight hours.

* Snow accumulations... 2 to 5 inches between 6000 and 7000
feet... with 5 to 9 inches above 7000 feet. Little or no
accumulation below 5000 feet.

* Snow levels... starting out at about 8000 feet noon
Monday... falling to 7000 feet around sunset... 5500 feet around
midnight... and 4000 feet around sunrise Tuesday.

* Winds... southwest to west winds 15 to 30 mph with higher gusts.
