The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
an ice jam in...
the Lemhi river in central Lemhi County in east central Idaho...

* until further notice

* emergency management and a trained weather spotter continue to
report that multiple ice jams have formed along the Lemhi river
from Salmon to Tendoy. Observations from Tuesday January 17th
indicate that ice jams have not grown significantly overnight and
river levels have not changed much since the 16th.

* These freeze-up ice jams will be capable of backing up water into
low lying areas adjacent to the Lemhi river, affecting private
property and residences along the river.

* Temperatures will stay cold for another night with low
temperatures in the negative 5 to negative 15 degree range. A slow
warming trend is forecast for the second half of the week.
Additional ice accumulation is expected with the cold temperatures
and ice jams in the Lemhi river will continue to build.!

The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
an ice jam in... the Salmon river in north central Lemhi County in
east central Idaho...

* until further notice

* emergency management and a trained weather spotter continue to
report that multiple ice jams have formed along the Salmon river
from about 10 miles south of the town of Salmon all the way to the
town of North Fork, Idaho. Observations from Monday January 16
indicate the ice jams continue to slowly grow backing ice up
further in the river, though river levels have not changed since
the 16th.

* These freeze-up ice jams will be capable of backing up water into
low lying areas adjacent to the Salmon river, affecting private
property and residences along the river.

* Temperatures will stay cold for another night with low
temperatures in the negative 5 to negative 15 degree range. A slow
warming trend is forecast for the second half of the week.
Additional ice accumulation is expected with the cold temperatures
and ice jams in the Salmon river may continue to build.
